Tapered tumbler template for any size cup

Why a tapered tumbler template is curved
When a cup is wider at the top than at the bottom, its side is part of a cone. Unroll a cone and you get a curved band, like a slice of a rainbow. The top edge is a long arc that matches the rim's circumference, and the bottom edge is a shorter arc that matches the base. The sides are straight lines that point toward the same center.
That's why a rectangular wrap gaps at the top or bunches at the bottom. A template drawn from your own measurements closes neatly at the seam at every height.
What you need to measure
- Top circumference: around the cup where the print starts, just under the lid line.
- Bottom circumference: around the cup where the print ends, just above the base.
- Height: the distance between those two lines, measured along the side of the cup.
Use a soft sewing tape and measure your own blank. Tumblers sold under the same ounce size often differ by a few tenths of an inch, which is enough to leave a visible gap at the seam. If you only have diameters from a product listing, switch the tool to Across and enter those instead.

Enter your measurements and click Download blank template. You get an SVG at true size: an outline you can open in Cricut Design Space, Silhouette Studio, Inkscape, Illustrator or Canva and use as a guide or clipping shape.
2. Warp your design straight onto it
Clipping a rectangular design into a curved template cuts parts off and leaves it tilted. It isn't the same as fitting it. Upload your straight wrap and TaperWrap bends it into the curved shape, so every row goes around the cup exactly once. Text stays level all the way around and the left and right edges meet at the seam. Download it as a 300 DPI PNG or a print-ready PDF.
Paper size
Tapered wraps are often wider than 11 inches because the curve adds width. TaperWrap shows the finished print size and which papers it fits. Legal (8.5 × 14 in) or Tabloid (11 × 17 in) sublimation paper covers most tapered 20 to 30 oz cups. Always print at actual size / 100%.
Common questions
Can I add a seam overlap?
Yes. Under Print options, set a seam overlap. About ¼ inch (6 mm) is a common choice. The overlap repeats a sliver of the opposite side of your design, so there's no white line at the seam if the paper shifts a little.
Does it work for cups that are wider at the bottom?
Yes. Enter a bottom circumference larger than the top one and the template curves the other way.
What about straight skinny tumblers?
If the top and bottom measurements match, the template is a plain rectangle. The tool handles that too.
